Accessibility statement

Version 0.1 Effective

In short

  • We are building Dubai Activity to meet WCAG 2.2 level AA, the standard used by the European accessibility standard EN 301 549.
  • The website is still under development and has not yet been evaluated, so we cannot yet state how far it conforms.
  • If something is hard to use, tell us through our contact page and we will help and fix it.

Our commitment

BRANDNEST S.R.L. wants everyone to be able to plan a trip to Dubai with our website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, voice control, screen magnification or other assistive technologies. This statement applies to the website dubaiactivity.com.

Standard we aim to meet

Our target is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, which also covers the web requirements of the harmonised European standard EN 301 549. This is the benchmark used for the European Accessibility Act, implemented in Romania by Law 232/2022.

Conformance status

Status: under development — evaluation not yet performed.

Dubai Activity is still being built. Accessibility requirements are part of how we design and build every page, but we have not yet carried out an evaluation, so we do not claim that the website conforms fully or partially to WCAG 2.2 AA. We will publish the date and method of the first evaluation and its results on this page.

How we will test

Before each type of page goes live, our planned testing includes:

  • automated checks with the axe-core accessibility engine;
  • completing every main task using only a keyboard, such as searching, browsing a category, opening a listing, using the contact form and signing in;
  • screen reader testing with NVDA (Windows), VoiceOver (macOS and iOS) and TalkBack (Android);
  • zooming to 200% and 400%, Windows high contrast mode, and reduced-motion settings.

Accessibility features we are building in

  • Clear page structure with headings, landmarks and a “skip to content” link.
  • Visible keyboard focus and full keyboard operation.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images; decorative animations hidden from assistive technology.
  • Respect for your system’s reduced-motion setting, including for 3D animations.
  • Forms that work without JavaScript, with clear labels and error messages, and no visual puzzles (CAPTCHAs).
  • Simple alternatives to partner widgets, with a link to the partner’s website.

Known limitations

Known limitations will be listed here after the first evaluation, together with the alternatives available and when we plan to fix them.

We can already say that content provided by third parties, such as partner booking widgets and the partner websites you reach through our links, is outside our control and may not meet the same standard. Where possible we offer an accessible alternative on our own page.

Feedback and help

If you cannot access any part of the website, or you find an accessibility problem, please tell us through our contact page. Let us know the page address, what you were trying to do and, if you like, which browser and assistive technology you use. We will try to give you the information you need in another way and to fix the problem.

Enforcement

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Romanian National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), which supervises accessibility requirements for services in Romania: ANPC website. See also our complaints and consumer information page.
